Death by Washer/Dryer

This is the first phone I've really messed up. Why doesn't Verizon make the Voyager anymore :( that phone was perfect for me. Smartphones are just too much of a hassle but I still feel bad, my mom used her sneaky discount-ways to get this phone for $50 and I've gone and ruined it :(

Guess it's a good opportunity to downgrade myself to an EnV or something but all Verizon phones are like a minimum $150. :( Upset because this all could have been avoided if I wasn't so clumsy.

Vanille wig review/ramble. Rambview

So something a bit more helpful for you cosplayers out there instead of just .gifs and Daniel Radcliffe's goodies. This is actually what I meant to post yesterday.

I bought a wig!!! But Elie, that's not helpful at all. Shut up slore, I'm getting to it.

It's not like I don't out a shelf full of these things but I ended up buying this wig from a seller a lot of my friends have really been on the fence about purchasing from. This is tokyo_frontier's Vanille wig from Final Fantasy XIII, and it is fierce.

I spent a good 45 minutes this June sitting on my hands not sure if I should purchase from this seller or not. At the time there was a limited amount of Vanille wigs and some of the really top notch ones were selling for close to $70! Excuse me, does that wig de-tangle itself? No? Well then, fuck you.

While they didn't have many reviews I bit the bullet and bought it, and it paid off because I love this wig like my own. The color is perfect, and I barely have to style it because those piggytails are just darling (maybe a little hairspray to preserve them). Bangs came long so I can cut them unlike ayanamisatoru who pre-cut my Ranka wig which just barely fits :(

The only downside to this wig is that it fits a little tight simply because of the styling, so if you have an extra large head this might not be for you. Hair will need to really be secure down as tight and flat as possible, some bobby pins never hurt either.

I was looking for something interesting and witty to post and started looking through my Photobucket for a specific image I wanted to post when I started noticing things I don't ever remember saving. I just stared at my screen and wondered 'why did I need this?' It's kind of like when you rediscover that Snickers bar that fell behind your bed 3 months ago, you don't want it anymore but it's cool you found it anyways.

I really like this game but WHEN DID I FIND THIS?

Shadow Ball

 Anyways, so have I mentioned before my school has an entire Pokemon League? With gym leaders and badges, etc? No? Well, rather than a meeting this Saturday we had the 'Shadow Ball' (GET IT?) which was a good time. I don't have any cosplay stuff with me down here so I made due with a white dress and lipliner. Don't mind my face, I crammed a whole cupcake in my mouth so that I could be in this picture.

Peaches and Oliver

After a very very long story I ended up taking in 2 stray kittens from a girl on the same floor of my dorm. We didn't want to name them to get attached but about a minute from my door she just stops me and goes: 'OH YEAH- I've been calling them Peaches n' Creme and Oliver'

GODAMMIT.

So attached, these babies are just too cute, and the worst kept secret ever. Our friends are always in and out to play with them but everyone loves them too much to rat us out. We only get to keep them for another 10 days or so, the ASPCA wouldn't take them until they were 6 weeks and they are about 4 weeks right now.

What 40k a year buys you at art school:

1. Fancy bus system, even shopping buses on the weekend for those of us without cars.
2. Dorms with AC/Heating systems
3. Exquisite dining facilities, occasional food poisoning may occur.
4. Oh you have a parking sticker? Well let me give you this ticket anyway.
5. 40k/yo buys you the word 'Monochromatic Gray', aka 'Brown'

And we still have to pay to use the washers and dryers too

I don't know anyone here and it's a little confusing but I'm sure I can stumble through figuring this all out!

I'm a first year college student at an art school, not sure what I'm majoring in but it'll come to me over these four years. I love figure skating, movies, shopping, cosplay and am juuuuust starting to break into the Lolita scene. It's nice to meet everyone and I look forwarding to following tons of cool blogs here!
